I'm David.

Director & Editor, Lukewarm Volcano

Filmmaking is the thing I'd do even if nobody paid me for it. There's nothing else that would get me out of bed for free, so I count myself lucky that it's the job.

I run Lukewarm Volcano on my own from Kilrush, County Clare — every shoot, every edit, every client conversation, me start to finish. I'm drawn to community-focused projects, documentaries and Irish history most of all: the stories that matter to the people in them, not just to an audience scrolling past.

How I Got Here

Studied filmmaking, learning the craft from the ground up.

Directed multiple short films after graduating, but found it very hard to break into the industry.

Went out on my own, made the work myself, and found clients who reflected me as a person.
