The brief
Shariq is a music artist from Pakistan, and Zindagi is one of three music videos I made with him. He wrote the song himself, dedicated to his love back in Pakistan, and wanted a video that matched what it meant to him rather than a generic performance clip.
The shoot
Filmed partly at Malbay Studios and partly on location around Kilkee and Kilrush, with the locations chosen to reflect the sentimentality of the song and the distance to his love back home in Pakistan.
Shariq was great to work with, and I learned a lot making the videos with him. Music videos are one of my favourite types of project — you have to tell the story creatively, in a completely different way to how a business or product video is told.
